A new opportunity has arisen within the financial control team of this dynamic,supportive and inclusive city based pension investment institution. This is a 12 month FTC and interested applicants must be part/fully qualified accountants as well as having gained previous financial accounting work experience within the financial services industry. Primary duties will include:- Responsible for ensuring the completeness & accuracy of all information recorded in the Accounting ledgers including classification of revenue and expenditure to correct cost centres and ledger codes. Production and review of the month and year-end accruals and prepayments. Review and reporting of Fixed Assets, maintaining the fixed asset register and the calculation of monthly depreciation following the procedures and policies. Production and review of reports and schedules for internal control and reporting purposes including balance sheet reconciliations, inter-company reconciliations and supporting schedules for financial management accounts. Monthly reconciliation and posting of monthly payrolls working with HR to ensure issues and queries are identified and dealt with in a timely manner. Ensure that financial controls and procedures are followed and assist in identifying and implementing improvements in the overall control environment. Strong numerical and analytical skills are required coupled with intermediate Excel skills. A comprehensive benefits package is included along with hybrid working arrangements.
